McGill Inline GFCI Promotes Greater Jobsite Safety & Productivity
ROSEMONT, IL, JUNE 29, 2007 - McGill, a brand of the EGS Electrical Group, introduces the newest addition to its line of electrical safety products, the McGill Tri-Tap inline GFCI providing superior protection in a portable two-foot design to help contractors do more with less.
Solving one of the most common jobsite problems - the lack of readily available electrical power - the McGill Tri-Tap GFCI offers three 15 amp, 120 VAC receptacles for contractors to safely plug in their power tools.
Professional-grade engineering begins with the two-foot SJT 12/3 AWG cable with a molded NEMA 5-15 plug on the line side and an attached power block with the three NEMA 5-15 receptacles on the load side. Endurance testing demonstrates this rugged GFCI will handle a minimum of 3,000 operations.
OSHA, NEC and UL approved, the GFCI has a 4-6 milliamp trip level and an ultra-fast response time of less than .025 seconds if it detects electrical leakage that could result in shock or electrocution. Manual reset of the indicator prevents unmonitored equipment from being restarted following a GFCI condition or a power failure, while an integrated suppresser keeps radio frequency interference from nuisance tripping.
