Reliable Videojet® 4210 Ink Jet Addressing System Prints Variable Data On Nearly Any Surface



WOOD DALE, Ill. (USA) - April 17, 2006 - The Videojet 4210 ink jet addressing system from Videojet Technologies Inc. provides reliable and cost-effective printing of addresses, personalized messages, bar codes and serialized numbers. The system's PC-based controller can also interface with a variety of external equipment to maximize your investment and keep high-throughput production lines running at peak efficiency.

Videojet's complete line of inks and fluids for the 4210 printer address a wide variety of applications. In particular, solvent-based inks (including alcohol or MEK) adhere to the toughest coated substrates, including polywrap. Water-based inks are also available. The 4210 printer provides a typical throughtput of 20,000 mail pieces an hour in multiline mode. Simple startup and maintenance procedures keep the system up and continuously printing.

The 4210 printer's graphical production screen provides a color-coded representation of envelopes in progress, production rates, remaining records, estimated job completion and other data. The Windows®-based front end with WYSIWYG layout software simplifies setup and operation. Fine-tuned software adjustments make left-hand justification a breeze.

A single printer utilizes two printheads, which can provide six lines of print, and the system can be expanded to include up to four printers, for a total of 24 lines of print. The heads can be split to print in noncontiguous areas on the mail piece, for even more flexibility (i.e., address and indicia). Current System 4000 users will find the 4210 to be a drop-in replacement to use with their existing Excel 270g printers.
