Injection Port Liners reduce breakdown of Endrin and DDT.

Press Release Summary:

Helping meet EPA method 8081A requirements, Injection Port Liner reduces breakdown of Endrin and DDT during injections while also increasing interval between liner changes. Application of crosslinked siloxane over conventionally deactivated liner results in injection port liner that contributes less to breakdown than any other component of injection system. Liner may be used in VICI injectors as well as other model injector brands, such as Agilent/Finnigan, Gerstel, and Varian.

Original Press Release:

Injection Port Liners Reduce Breakdown of Endrin and DDT

VICI's new Injection Port Liner reduces breakdown of Endrin and DDT during injections while increasing the interval between liner changes.

DDT and Endrin are easily degraded in the injection port; with non-deactivated liners and those filled with non-deactivated glass wool, Endrin breakdown can be as high as 98%. EPA method 8081A states "If degradation of either DDT or Endrin exceeds 15%, take corrective action before proceeding with calibration."

Liner deactivation is the most critical step in preventing breakdown. VICI has discovered that when we apply a highly crosslinked siloxane over a conventionally deactivated liner, the result is an injection port liner that contributes less to breakdown than any other component of the injection system.

The Injection Port Liners are sold in packages of five and may be used in VICI injectors plus various other model injector brands such as Agilent/Finnigan, Gerstel, and Varian. Sizes, descriptions and part numbers for several models of injectors may be referenced on http://www.vici.com/gc_access/rbl.php.
