Wide Range Infra-Red Thermometer - Non-contact InfraRed Thermometer with Laser Pointer Measures to 1000° F

Extech announces the introduction of its newest InfraRed (IR) Thermometer, Model 42530, which provides a wide range of measurements from -58 to 1000°F (-50 to 538°C) with 1° resolution. The Automatic Data Hold freezes the display and there are audible and visual over range indicators. Model 42530 offers a large LCD with backlighting for easy viewing in dim light. The built-in laser pointer targets the area to be measured. The narrow field of view, measures a 1" target at 6" distance. This helps to assure that readings are due solely to the target and not the surrounding environment. Fixed emissivity (0.95) covers 90% of the surface temperature applications. The compact size and light weight (6.4oz) means the thermometer is easily carried around in a pocket and always handy for a quick temperature check. Model 42530 is especially useful when a target object is difficult to reach or unsafe to touch - for HVACR technicians, anyone working around engines and motors or electrical transformers and distribution boxes, production floor personnel, and in commercial kitchens.
