Apollo Introduces Family of Industrial TFT LCDs With Long Life White LED Backlights and Wide Range of Value-Added Enhancements
Ronkonkoma, NY, October 2005 - Apollo Display Technologies, the leading technical, stocking distributor and value-added manufacturer of LCD products and services, has introduced a family of Optrex industrial TFT LCDs backlit by long life white LEDs and supported by a comprehensive range of value-added enhancements.
Available in 6.5", 8.4", 10.4" and 12.1" diagonal sizes, these LED-backlit LCDs are designed for high-resolution display of color images from static to full-motion video. The 6.5" LCD is available in VGA resolution, the 8.4" in VGA or XGA resolution, the 10.4" in VGA or SVGA resolution, and the 12.1" in SVGA or XGA resolution.
All LCDs in Apollo's Optrex LED-backlit TFT family provide high information content over wide operating ranges, with high brightness, wide viewing angles, and high contrast ratios. The 6.5" VGA LCD provides a brightness of 390 cd/m2. The 8.4" sizes and up are backlit by ultra high bright white LEDs and offer luminances ranging from 250 to 600 cd/m2.
Value-Added enhancements such as Apollo's industrial open frame monitors provide an easy drop-in design for use in a variety of applications, including medical, military, kiosk, machine automation and industrial control.
