Rockwell Automation Adds Enhancements to Allen-Bradley VersaView Industrial Computer Line
Optimized panel space and improved performance help save on time spent maintaining and upgrading plant floor technology
MILWAUKEE, September 16, 2004 - Machine builders and manufacturers in the food, beverage, pharmaceutical, and automotive industries can spend less time maintaining and upgrading their plant floor technology as a result of the latest enhancements to the AllenÂBradley VersaView Industrial Computer and Monitor family.
The new Allen-Bradley VersaView 20-inch Flat Panel Monitor, designed to fit in a standard 9U-size cutout, is a feature-rich monitor in the smallest space possible - replacing 18-inch TFT displays and 19- and 20-inch CRTs. As a "drop-in" replacement for Allen-Bradley 6185-D and 6157-C, and Intecolor FP18 and E19 panel mount units, the new VersaView monitor allows users to take advantage of the latest technology without re-designing their control panels.
Ideal for human-machine interface applications that benefit from larger screen views, the VersaView 2000M industrial monitors are available with aluminum or stainless steel bezels, at a 1600 x 1200 resolution, longer backlight life than smaller VersaView monitors at 60,000 hours, and standard industry 9U rack-mount capability.
Machine builders for the automotive industry will benefit from the direct control feature available in the new VersaView 1200W Industrial Workstation. With the ability to run visualization, maintenance and control applications while optimizing panel space, the 1200W Industrial Workstation is specifically engineered with an integrated configurable keypad and programmable keys that can function as I/O when connected to a controller. To meet a range of application and environmental requirements, the 1200W is available in both a standard and performance model.
New Allen-Bradley VersaView 1200P, 1500P and 1700P integrated industrial computers are now available with increased performance resulting from an upgraded CPU, more RAM and increased Hard Disk Drive (HDD) space. Standard and performance versions are available in 12- 15- and 17-inch sizes, with standard models featuring a Pentium IV 2GHz Celeron processor and 256 Mb of RAM and performance models featuring a Pentium IV 2 GHz CPU and 512 Mb of RAM. All units have 40GB of HDD and USB 2.0 ports.
