Baumer Electric Introduces Easy-Mount 8mm Flat-Pack Inductive Sensor

Southington, Conn. - May 19, 2003. Baumer Electric has introduced the ultra-low-profile 8mm Flat-Pack Inductive sensor designed for easy mounting in small space applications. Flat and narrow, the 8mm Flat-Pack Inductive mounts using a single, front accessible through-bore screw, and requires just 4mm of mounting depth.

Designed using state-of-the-art ASIC technology, this sensor features an anodized aluminum IP 67 protected housing that is 8mm wide x 16mm high x 4.7mm deep. The Flat-Pack Inductive also offers a 10 to 30 VDC voltage supply range, integrated reverse polarity and short circuit protection, sensing distances up to 2mm, and bright output state indicator LEDs. The sensor is available with an M8x1 pigtail connector.
