Indra to Modernize the Business Processes Technological Platform of Peru's State-Owned Petroleum Company

Indra, the premier IT company in Spain and a leading IT multinational in Europe, was awarded a USD 13.5 M contract with Petroperu, the most important state-owned petroleum company of the country to modernize its business processes platform.
The contract includes the implementation of a new ERP on SAP platform to manage finance, commercialization, logistics, maintenance and refining integrally, as those are the key areas of the company. The automation, integration and standardization of these processes will reduce operation time, improve productivity and as a consequence Petroperu will grow more competitive.
The new platform will be the same for all societies, offices, refineries, sales plants and service station networks of the company Indra will destine 40 highly qualified professionals for the project which has an execution period of 15 months with 3 additional months for support.
Petroperu is the first company in terms of sales in Peru. It is engaged in the transportation, refinery, distribution and trading fuels and other petroleum derived products. It has over 40 terminals and employs over 4000 people directly and indirectly.
With this new contract, Indra reinforces its presence in Peru, where it was awarded important air traffic and utilities contracts last year. The company was chosen by CORPAC (The Peruvian Corporation of Commercial Airports and Aviation Inc.) to carry out the largest modernization project of the country's air traffic systems for USD 34 M. Airports will benefit from the modernization as their capacity to manage more flights will increase at the same time the top security level established by civil aviation is guaranteed.
Besides this, SEDAPAL, Lima's Water and Sewer Company, awarded Indra, in temporary consortium with Proactiva Medioambiente, the contract to manage entirely the potable water trading for more than Euros 58 M.
