Indirect Water Heater shares heat with hydronic boiler.

Press Release Summary:

Energy Saver Indirect Water Heater(TM) accepts heat from external heat source that warms space heating fluid, which then passes through unit's internal heat exchanger. As fluid passes through glass-coated, conductive tube, heat is shared between space heating fluid and domestic water in storage vessel. This results in 2 supplies of hot water from one boiler. Non-CFC foam insulation maximizes heat retention, while glass-lined steel tank provides clean hot water.

Energy Saver Indirect Water Heater(TM) Shares Heat with Hydronic Boiler

LEBANON, TN - May 15, 2007 - The new Energy Saver Indirect Water Heater from Lochinvar saves homeowners money and protects the environment by using the same energy to hydronically provide hot water for potable use. By sharing heat for two purposes, the Energy Saver Indirect offers incredible energy efficiency.

The Energy Saver Indirect is an indirect-fired, potable water storage vessel that accepts heat from an external heat source, such as a Solution(TM) or KNIGHT(TM) Heating Boiler. This external heat source warms the space heating fluid, which then passes through the Energy Saver Indirect's internal heat exchanger.

The heat exchanger is a glass-coated, highly conductive tube that is immersed in the storage vessel. As the fluid passes through the heat exchanger, heat is shared between the space heating fluid and the domestic water in the storage vessel. This results in two supplies of hot water from one efficient boiler.

The Energy Saver Indirect also features non-CFC foam insulation, which minimizes standby losses and maximizes heat retention, and a glass-lined steel tank, which protects against rust and corrosion while providing clean, hot water. In addition, Lochinvar offers a ten year limited tank warranty on all Energy Saver Indirect water heaters.
