KENOSHA, Wis., Nov. 20, 2002 - The new Blue-Point brand Butterfly Throttle Air Impact Wrench from Snap-on Tools Company delivers 75 percent more torque than previous models through a lightweight aluminum housing, fitted with a compact air inlet swivel.
The compact design and high power of the 3/8-inch, square-drive pneumatic wrench make it ideal for driving and loosening threaded fasteners. Designed for automotive technicians, the AT351 Air Impact Wrench also accommodates extension bars, universal joints and socket adapters to offer versatility for a variety of applications.
The maximum torque rating of the new Air Impact Wrench is 175 foot-pounds that is delivered through a ball-bearing-mounted, rotary-action air motor. The unit achieves a maximum free speed of 9,700 RPM and standard operating torque range between 15 and 160 foot-pounds, which is controlled via an eight-position power regulator. The recommended air pressure range for the tool is 30 to 90 PSIG.
