The NEW Automatic Lift Gardner Impact Tester

BYK-Gardner announces the development of an automatic lift Gardner impact tester. Designed to enhance the ease and safety of the operation and the repeatability and accuracy of the test, this new system offers an alternative to the standard manual Gardner impact tester.

To be used for impact tests on most plastics, PVC, and vinyl siding, this new tester reduces any operator arm or finger stress due to repetitive use of the traditional manual Gardner impact tester.

A spring-loaded impact weight-positioning device eliminates any operator variances in test repeatability results.

The new automatic lift Gardner impact tester operates exclusively on compressed air and has no electrical connections. A simple to operate two-button system activates the lift and a high impact plastic guard protects the operator against any sample shattering.

The new unit complies with all of the standard ASTM impact testing methods such as ASTM D-4226, ASTM D2794, D5420, and G14.The System has CE and ISO approval for overseas markets.

A video CD of the System in operation is available through BYK-Gardner.
