Gas Ignition Control Packs Many Functions Onto One Board

A new, fully integrated direct spark gas ignition control for commercial rooftop and unit heaters that saves space inside equipment and simplifies installation is being introduced by Fenwal of Ashland, Massachusetts.

The Fenwal 35-80 Series Direct Spark Gas Ignition Control provides 0.2 sec. timing accuracy, sparks 60 times/second, and stops when it senses a flame. Combining a wide range of features onto a single PC board, including local or remote flame sensing and field-adjustable fan off delay, this microprocessor-based control eliminates discrete components and related wiring.

Easily customized at the factory to meet OEM design requirements, the Fenwal 35-80 Series Direct Spark Gas Ignition Control includes standard features such as combustion blower control, indoor air fan control, thermostat input, diagnostics, heat/cool relay, and 24 V input voltage. This space-saving ignition control measures only 4.5" x 5.75".

The Fenwal 35-80 Series Direct Spark Gas Ignition Control is priced from $18.00 to 95.00 ea., depending upon configuration and quantity. The company is exhibiting at the AHR EXPO, Booth #2860, Atlantic City, NJ January 14-16, 2002.
