Miniature ICP® Accelerometer



March 3, 2003, Depew, NY - The Vibration Division of PCB Piezotronics, Inc., has released a new Model 352B01 miniature ICP® accelerometer designed for performing shock testing and stress screening of printed circuit boards, disc drive mechanisms, cellular phones, PDAs, and other electronic items. The unit weighs a mere 0.7 grams, and occupies a small 0.32 x 0.24 inch (8 x 6 mm) footprint, for minimal mass loading of the test article.

The sensor is structured with a shear mode, piezoceramic sensing element and provides a broad ± 5000 g measurement range, with frequency response from 1 to 20k Hz (± 10%). Additional features include a hermetically sealed titanium housing, 10,000 g shock limit, and a 10 ft. (3 m) integral cable.
