IBSS Enhances SynTrack(TM) for Healthcare With Nortel MCS 5100 Support

Nortel Selects IBSS Technology to Demonstrate Integrated Location-based Services at HIMSS

COLUMBIA, S.C., March 14 /FirstCall/ -- Integrated Business Systems and Services, Inc. (IBSS) (OTC Bulletion Board: IBSS) today announced that it has collaborated with communications leader Nortel to integrate its Nortel Multimedia Communication Server (MCS) 5100 with SynTrack(TM) for Healthcare, Release 1.5.5, IBSS' tracking system for hospital assets, personnel and patients to create a single platform by which to enable location-based services. The combination was featured at the HIMSS (Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society) annual conference and exhibition held in San Diego, Ca. on February 12 - 16, 2006.

"Enthusiastic attendees showed great interest in our live example of an integrated location-based application. The live system featured RFID tracking of patients, clinicians and assets, along with seamless integration to Nortel's communication technology to deliver location and presence-based communications," reported Lee Dunston, Director of Sales for IBSS. "The features demonstrated represent the next wave in managing healthcare resources for cost and care improvements."

"Using SynTrack(TM), a doctor, for example, can not only be located but also have communications seamlessly routed to his/her location. The HIMMS demonstration chose an innovative way for attendees to experience the synergy of location and presence by integrating live cameras that moved and maintained a constant view of the tag and its holder throughout the Nortel booth location," exclaimed Dr. George Mendenhall, CEO of IBSS, as he observed the robust booth activity.

"We at Nortel recognize that no single RFID technology fits all healthcare needs. To realize the promise of location-based services, a hospital needs an integrated communications infrastructure and software framework to support the appropriate tags and location technologies for that particular facility's applications. The goal of a hospital should be to establish one universal location system that efficiently supports all of the current and emerging location tags and technologies while integrating with the broader communications infrastructure and legacy systems. This is what Nortel demonstrated at HIMSS and this offers attractive ROI today," stated Bill Hall, Director of Healthcare Solutions at Nortel.
