Hydrogen Detector helps keep battery rooms compliant.

Press Release Summary:

Facilitating compliance with IEEE Std 450, NFPA Article 64, and UBC Sect 6400, Series HDGI provides for dissipation and warning before any concentration of hydrogen gas reaches LEL of 4%. One percent concentration energizes relay, which activates exhaust fan, while 2% concentration activates built-in, pulsating warning alarm. Measuring 7 x 4¾ x 2½ in., detector comes in single relay Model HDGI, dual relay Model HDGI-DR, and Model HGDI-REM with 30 ft remote display.

Storage Battery Systems Introduces the HDGI Hydrogen Detector

In order for your battery room to be in compliance with IEEE Std 450, National Fire Protection Agency (NFPA) Article 64 & Uniform Building Code (UBC) Sect 6400, hydrogen gas must be monitored. Failure to monitor hydrogen gas production and alarm when certain thresholds are reached voids your insurance policy and exposes your company to severe risk should any in juries result from a non-passive hydrogen gassing event.

The HDGI is an affordable piece of your safety plan.

Lead-acid storage batteries emit hydrogen while gassing during charge. Hydrogen concentration of 4% to 75% by volume in air are potentially explosive. Hydrogen gas detector is designed to provide for dissipation and warning before any concentration reaches the lower explosive limit (LEL) of 4%.

Features include:
o 1% Concentration energizes a relay which activates your exhaust fan
o 2% Concentration activates a built-in, pulsating warning alarm
o One-Year Warranty
o 110V; 50/60 Hz
o 220VAC or 12VDC available
o 7"h x 4 3/4"w - 2 1/2" deep

Ordering Information:
o HGDI Single relay model
o HGDI-DR Dual relay model
o HGDI-REM 30 ft. remote display
