Hydraulic Loading Valve facilitates ASTM C39 testing.

Press Release Summary:

MegaForce automatic loading valve works with hydraulically actuated materials testing machines that operate to 10,000 psi. It enables automatic testing on ELE/Soiltest, Forney, and TestMark Industries load frames and is controlled by proprietary digital indicator or MTESTWindows Materials Testing System. Unit eliminates load rate variability and reduces test times via user programmable preload and ability to precisely control rate of loading to failure.

ADMET's MegaForce Hydraulic Loading Valve Provides Precise Control for a Wide Range of Testing

Automatic valve operates up to 10,000 psi - facilitates ASTM C39 testing...

NORWOOD, Mass. - Dec. 9, 2003 - ADMET(TM) Inc., a provider of integrated materials testing systems, today announced the MegaForce automatic loading valve for hydraulically actuated materials testing machines that operate to 10,000 psi. MegaForce is a first of its kind solution that enables automatic testing on ELE/Soiltest, Forney and TestMark Industries load frames.

With a cost savings between 60-70%, MegaForce also offers an alternative to conventional servo-hydraulic controlled universal testing machines manufactured by Baldwin, Riehle, Tinius Olsen and Instron/SATEC. Ideally suited for concrete compression testing or for applications where accurate load control is required, MegaForce will eliminate the load rate variability associated with manually operated machines.

MegaForce is simple to install and can be fitted to both new and existing machines. Benefits include:

· Reduced testing times

· Testing consistency through accurate control of loading rate

· Elimination of operator error.

Precise control - reliable results

Controlled by either an ADMET digital indicator or MTESTWindows Materials Testing System, MegaForce provides accurate repeatable testing which is difficult to achieve with manually operated machines. MegaForce reduces test times with a user programmable fast preload, plus the ability to precisely control the rate of loading to failure, followed by a fast return to start.

MegaForce can also automatically transmit test results to ADMET's Concrete Traker concrete test management software, Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) or other databases. Once the test routines have been entered into the testing system, a simple start test push button on the MegaForce controller allows an operator to conduct the full test from fast preload through sample break without having to intervene in the test or manually record the results.

"MegaForce is another product from ADMET that is designed to improve the quality of testing," said Richard Gedney, ADMET founder and president. "We've lowered the cost for accurate repeatable testing while maintaining ease of use. One push of a button is all that is required to run the test and report the results."

MegaForce is available immediately directly from ADMET and from ADMET resellers. Systems start at about $5,000 depending on the configuration.
