New HELUEVENT Cable Bundles Video, Audio and Electrical Components
ELGIN, Illinois – HELUKABEL, one of the world’s leading cable manufacturers, recently announced its latest media technology cable - the HELUEVENT HYBRID. This cable combines video, audio and electrical components and is highly flexible at the same time. The cable’s primary use is for control desks and mixing consoles, but can also be used in cameras with multiple outlets. It can be employed in studios, on stages or in building services and safety engineering, such as security cameras in trains.
It contains four cables: two HELUKAT 200 cables for data transmission, one JZ-500 control cable for power supply, and a 75 Ohm 1.0/4.6 coax cable for the video signal. The biggest challenge for design engineers was the high flexibility requirement, which is hard to implement in hybrid cables. After many tests in HELUKABEL's research and development center, the optimal chemical combination was finally found allowing the cable to contain all four cables and maintain a high level of flexibility.
The HELUEVENT HYBRID is halogen-free as well as flame-retardant and can therefore be installed in buildings. Special jacket materials also make the cable suitable for outdoor applications. Additionally, it is resistant to oxygen, UV and microbes.
