DTI Expands AdvancedTCA Product Line with New Switch Blade


ATS-1136 Switch Blade to compliment DTI's family of processor, storage and carrier boards for TEMS and NEMS delivering next generation architectures.

LONG BEACH, CA / RIDGELAND, MS - January 19, 2004 - Diversified Technology, Inc. announced today the release of the AdvancedTCA® ATS-1136 Switch Blade for carrier grade solutions at the Bus and Board trade conference in Long Beach, CA. The ATS-1136 Blade is an AdvancedTCA® hub board for a Dual-StarFabric based ATCA shelf. The board is compliant with the PICMG® 3.0/3.1 specifications.

About the ATS-1136

The ATS-1136 Switch Blade supports the fabric through the ATCA 3.1 Ethernet specification option. The board switches both the base and the fabric at Gigabyte Ethernet wire-speed. The board features (36) Gigabit Ethernet ports in the 8U mechanical specification defined by industry standards. The ATCA base fabric supports (16) ATCA payload slots.

The ATS-1136 Switch Blade offers two 10/100/1000 Gigabit Ethernet copper egress ports located on the front panel. Three copper 10/100/1000 ports are available on the rear panel of the board. Aggregation, Quality of Service (QoS) and Mirroring are supported on the switch board. System management of temperatures and voltages, critical to reliability and availability, are monitored via the IPMI (Intelligent Platform Management Interface) supporting the 1.5 protocols. In addition to the front accessible gigabit Ethernet ports, two serial management ports, reset switch and status LEDs for all ports are also integrated into the front bracket.

About the ATC-4130

The ATC-4130 supports Intel®'s low voltage, high performance Xeon® Processor. Processor speed is available at speeds ranging up to 2.0 GHz with 512KB of L2 cache. The Intel®'s E7501 chipset provides 400MHz front side bus. System memory of up to 4GB is supported via two ECC-protected double-date-rate (DDR) SDRAM memory modules. Onboard integration features two 64-bit/66Mhz PMC sites with PCI-X compliancy, two Gigabyte Ethernet base channels, Gigabyte Ethernet Expansion Fabric (ATCA 3.1, Option 1) front panel 10/100 Ethernet port for debug, front panel serial port, two USB ports and five IDE Ports supporting up to 400GB of storage.

The ATC-4130 Processor Blade uses Pigeon Point's management architecture; which has been very successfully tested at the PICMG® ATCA Alpha Interoperability Workshops.

Availability

Production shipments begin in Q2/2004. Development units for both the processor and switch boards are currently available.
