HOYA ConBio(TM) to Showcase RevLite(TM) Laser at ASLMS Conference

FREMONT, Calif., April 12 -- HOYA ConBio(TM), a global leader in medical and dental lasers, will showcase the RevLite(TM) laser at the 27th American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery (ASLMS) Annual Conference, April 12 - 15 in Grapevine, Texas. The RevLite(TM) EO Q-Switched Nd:YAG, featuring PhotoAcoustic Therapy Pulse (PTP), is FDA-cleared for all skin types and for a variety of indications, including tattoo removal, skin resurfacing, hair removal and treatment of vascular and pigmented lesions.

"RevLite(TM) incorporates an innovative PTP technology designed to provide safe, effective treatments at higher energy levels than traditional lasers," said Timothy Gehlmann, President and CEO, HOYA ConBio. "We feel this innovation sets RevLite(TM) apart from other lasers and reinforces our pioneering role in the aesthetic category."

Utilizing proprietary PTP technology, the RevLite(TM) disperses peak energy throughout the layers of the epidermis faster than the normal relaxation time of the tissue. The EO (electro-optic) Q-Switch provides an extremely high-speed shutter to produce nanosecond pulse durations. The high- speed repetition rates of PTP technology are intended to produce maximum energy output over a large spot size at the same fluence level, enabling physicians to treat large areas effectively and more rapidly.

According to Gehlmann, the benefits of PTP technology are particularly meaningful in skin resurfacing. Physicians using the RevLite(TM) report a PhotoAcoustic rejuvenation effect on patients, resulting in a more refreshed appearance, reduction in fine lines and wrinkles, smoother texture, tightening and decreased pore size.

"The RevLite(TM) exemplifies our ongoing commitment to establishing our aesthetic lasers as premium quality systems versatile enough for all aesthetic applications and skin types," said Gehlmann. RevLite(TM) lasers will be shown at Booth #602 at ASLMS.

The multi-purpose RevLite is built on the same reliable foundation as the popular MedLite lasers, known as the "workhorse" lasers of the aesthetic medical industry for more than 15 years. For more information, contact HOYA ConBio, www.conbio.com
