Alemite Introduces Hose Reel with Flexible, High-Capacity Modular Design

Fort Mill, S.C. - Alemite continues to expand its line of hose reels with its new high-capacity modular reel. The reel's modular construction provides users with a variety of options based on style and functionality requirements.

Customers select the reel's width, swivel size and mounting location of motor and swivel to meet their space constraints. The reel is then built using a choice of three sheaves.

"What makes this reel different is the many choices it offers users, including a wide range of color choices and configurations," said Anne Brantley, product manager for Alemite. "Development of this new reel reaffirms the Alemite commitment to continue to introduce products that meet the wide range of customer requirements," added Brantley.

The new high-capacity modular reel is constructed of foam composite, the same material used to manufacture seagoing boats. This material makes the reel 30 percent lighter than steel, while allowing it to maintain strength qualities similar to those of steel. Metal parts have a special plating, allowing the reel to withstand salt spray and harsh outdoor environments.

The reel will handle up to 400 feet of ½" diameter hose or up to 200 feet of 1-1/2" diameter hose and is available in motorized and hand crank versions. The reel's ability to handle long lengths of large diameter hose makes it an ideal choice for use on mobile trucks in the construction industry and turf management applications. An explosion-proof motor is available for fuel dispensing applications.
