HONEYWELL Introduces Its Scanning & Mobility Business to the Retail Industry
Newly-established business with a wide product offering to exhibit at 98th Annual NRF Convention in New York
Blackwood, NJ - January 12, 2009 - Honeywell today announced the introduction of its Scanning & Mobility business to the retail marketplace at this year's National Retail Federation (NRF) trade show in New York City. The Scanning & Mobility division is composed of the product and technology offerings from Hand Held Products and Metrologic, two companies acquired by Honeywell in late 2007 and 2008, respectively. New and existing scanning and mobility products are on display under Honeywell's banner at booth #2231.
"NRF provides an ideal platform for Honeywell to exhibit its retail-oriented products and services as a new business," said Darius Adamczyk, President of Honeywell Scanning & Mobility. "Many people in the retail industry have come to know and trust both of the companies which are now part of Honeywell Scanning & Mobility. Combined, we provide one of the broadest product lines in the Automatic Identification and Data Collection (AIDC) space."
Some of the new products and applications on display at the booth include:
o Dolphin® 7600 - Entry-level model that now comes with Windows Mobile 6 Standard or Professional;
o Dolphin® 7850 - Now with three new long-range laser scanning options that provide usability up to 30 feet;
o Dolphin® 9950 - Extends the Dolphin 9900 series with an integrated pistol grip and multiple keypad configurations;
o MS4980 VuQuest(TM) - A versatile compact area-imaging scanner;

o Remote MasterMind(TM) - A remote scanner management package that provides IT administrators with a convenient system to manage all scanners within their network from any single remote location.
"Our new products incorporate advanced data collection and wireless technologies, minimizing the need for additional hardware," said Adamczyk. "From the point-of-sale to the back-of-the-store, Honeywell Scanning & Mobility delivers retail solutions designed to increase profitability and return on investment."
The Honeywell booth at NRF will feature nearly every product offered by Honeywell Scanning & Mobility.
