High Speed Applicator handles difficult coatings.

Press Release Summary:

Made of stainless steel/Teflon®, TurboDisk2 Rotary Atomizer is virtually impenetrable to all fluids. It features serrated edge design and dual feed fluid system. High flow regulators and fluid valves allow for simultaneous paint push out while solvent washes feed tube and disk. Fluid section can be exchanged in minimal time due to quick disconnect features. TurboDisk2 is suited for wide range of coating materials, including waterbornes and high solids.

The High Speed Applicator that Handles Even the Most Difficult Coatings

ITW Ransburg has set a new standard in the coatings industry with the introduction of the TurboDisk2 high speed rotary atomizer. The TurboDisk2's ability to generate much higher rotational speeds, improved penetration and transfer efficiencies set it apart from other electrostatic applicators because of its substantially finer atomization. Even at minimal rotational speeds, it provides superior atomization due to its serrated edge design.

The TurboDisk2 also features a dual feed fluid system creating higher fluid delivery rates and increased productivity. The high flow regulators and fluid valves allow for simultaneous paint push out while solvent washes the feed tube and disk. Also, the fluid sections can be easily exchanged in minimal time due to the TurboDisk2's quick disconnect features which reduce downtime for maintenance.

The TurboDisk2 can be used with the widest range of coating materials, including waterbornes and high solids; and the stainless steel/Teflon construction of the TurboDisk2 make it virtually impenetrable to all fluids.

ITW Ransburg Electrostatic Systems, an Illinois Tool Works Company, offers a variety of finishing products and systems, including electrostatic systems, electrostatic HVLP systems, automatic sprayguns, disks and bells, gun reciprocators, closed-loop fluid control systems, and system parts and accessories.
Harold Ransburg first experimented with paint charging and surface grounding technologies in the 1930s, and patented the revolutionary electrostatic finishing process in 1941. Today, ITW Ransburg remains an industry innovator and serves the global liquid electrostatic spray-finishing marketplace from their headquarters in Toledo, Ohio.
