Watson-Marlow Bredel Introduces High-Flow Hygienic Pump for Food Applications

800 Series Hygienic, High-performance Option

Watson-Marlow Bredel, the leading manufacturer of peristaltic pumps, introduces its 800 Series pumps for hygienic, high-performance applications in the food industry. These pumps are ideal for handling dairy, bakery, cereal, beverage and confectionary products with care and ease.

To maintain the purity of the pumping product, the pumphead has no valves, is self-priming, and can run dry without incurring damage. The low-shear action of the 800 Series ensures consistent product quality with no siphoning or slip, providing accuracy of up to ±0.5% when handling flavorings, colorings, and additives. As the most hygienic pump available, the 800 Series complies with all USDA food handling and FDA, USP and NSF Class VI standards.

Capable of pumping amounts from 2 to 33 liters/minute, the high-flow 800 Series is both CIP and SIP capable, enabling in-line cleaning at full velocity. Watson-Marlow Bredel pumps contain products within the tube at all times, never allowing contact with the pumping mechanism. This keeps foods and beverages contaminant-free, while cleaning and maintenance remain quick and easy as the tube is the only part that will need replacing.

Every Watson-Marlow Bredel peristaltic pump is an inherent metering pump with repeatability at 99.5%. Many models include integral digital drives and displays in washdown enclosures. These self-priming pumps accommodate flow rates from 0.1 microliter to 350 gpm, and are extremely durable, withstanding pressures up to 232 psi. There are no internal universal joints, valves, dead corners, or glands to impede flow, and these pumps are reversible for back flushing lines. They can also run dry indefinitely without damage and provide up to a 30' suction lift.
