WEYMOUTH, MA - Electroswitch announces the availability of Type A and Type DL Knife Switches for industrial use.
These heavy-duty switches offer long operating life with low maintenance.
Configured for either single or double throw, Electroswitch Knife Switches will accommodate a wide variety of industrial applications.
Type A Knife Switches are front-connected units with adjustable silver-plated contacts and insulated bases. Ampere ratings range from 30 through 3,000.
Type DL Knife Switches are back-connected units without base plates. Ampere ratings range from 30 through 10,000. Switches rated at 400 amps or less use stud connections, while those rated at 600 amps and above use bus-bar connections.
The basic design of these switches allows numerous modifications for polarity reversals, high frequency, high voltage, air operation, remote operation, and other uses.
Options include a padlock attachment, a handle mounted on the front of the blade (single-throw switches only), an auxiliary limit switch or low-current knife switch actuated by the main switch (for remote indication), a handle guard (standard on switches rated for more than 600 volts), and a field discharge attachment for opening a generator field.
