Hazardous Locations Solenoid Valves


Max-Air Technology is pleased to announce that our SV-7X and SV-9X series NAMUR mount solenoid valves now carry the CSA logo. With the successful completion of testing against CSA Standard C22.2 No.139.10 and the 6th edition of UL 429, this product line is now authorized to carry the CSA marking for hazardous location service in both the United States and Canada.

These Severe Environment product lines include left pilot (SV71 and SV91), right pilot (SV73 and SV93), and dual pilot versions (SV72 and SV92). The Intrinsically Safe SV7X series is available for 24 VDC service at temperatures to 122°F (50°C). The SV9X Explosion Proof series is available in a variety of AC and DC voltage configurations ranging from 12 VDC to 240 VAC. Service temperatures for this series extends up to 140°F (60°C). All of these NAMUR mount solenoid valves come standard with lockable manual override buttons and matching black DIN connectors.

Both series of valves must be properly installed for service ratings to be valid. SV7X solenoids must be installed with an appropriate barrier device and according to all applicable codes and barrier manufacturer's instructions. SV9X solenoids come with flying leads and must be installed per all applicable local and NEC codes.

With ¼" NPT air connections, and standard BUNA-N seals, the SV7X and SV9X series solenoids are ideally suited for service in Class 1 Div. 1 locations on any NAMUR mount pneumatic actuator with a lubricated or non-lubricated air supply.
