Waldmann Lighting Launches Their New Hard-Wired Luminaires

Wheeling, Ill -Waldmann Lighting announces the launch of "RL Architectural" and "Amadea Medical", which feature two hard-wired product lines of architectural tubular fluorescent lighting and medical bed wall lighting. Both of these products offer unique design and energy efficient construction. The product lines are shown in a series of color leaflets, and are also displayed on their newly designed Web site (www.waldmannlighting.com) which includes photometrics and IES files of all hard-wired luminaires, in addition to a PDF library of all Waldmann brochures and leaflets. See the Amadea and RL at the Lightfair International Exposition in Las Vegas, NV on March 31 through April 2. Waldmann Lighting's booth number is 255.

"We recently introduced our hard-wired series of luminaires to the USA, after a highly successful roll-out in Europe, and look forward to providing both the architectural and healthcare industry with innovative lighting solutions that spark creativity and add a new flare to project designs," commented Gary Cardoza, Co-President of Waldmann Lighting USA. "Both the RL and Amadea products provide lighting solutions that are aesthetically appealing, energy efficient, and offer Waldmann's exclusive 10-year warranty," added Jan Schaefer, Co-President of Waldmann Lighting USA.

"RL Architectural" linear fluorescent tubular lighting, constructed with impact-resistant polycarbonate tubes, is ideal for accenting both indoor and outdoor locations, including building interiors and exteriors, train stations, airports, parks, and virtually any place that additional illumination is needed. Three types of RL series luminaires are offered: RL40, RL70, and the RL70EP "pathway" light series.

The RL40 series features a slim, 1.57-inch outer diameter tube available in 26 to 80 inches, and uses energy efficient T5HO lamps that are offered in 24, 39, 54, and 80 watts. The RL70 series features a larger, 2.75" tube ranging in length from 30 to 84 inches, and uses T8 lamps offered in 17, 32, and 40 watts. Both the RL40 and the RL70 series are available in either a clear or satine finish, and offer optional gel sleeves for unique applications or to create a theatrical effect. A variety of mounting brackets and suspension devices are available for both ceiling and direct wall mounting. Lights can also be daisy chained in runs of up to ten luminaires.

The RL70EP "pathway" lights are innovative, stand-alone light columns which feature a 2.75-inch outer diameter polycarbonate tube ranging in length from 52 to 90 inches, and a bolt-down vandal-resistant flange. Similar to the RL70 series, the tubes house energy efficient T8 lamps and can be easily mounted in both indoor and outdoor locations.

Our new medical lighting series features the modular "Amadea" indirect/direct bed wall luminaire, which has been specifically designed for use in hospitals or assisted living environments. Manufactured by Derungs® Medical Lighting, a sister company of Waldmann Lighting, Amadea features flexible and energy efficient four-way light distribution. Amadea is designed specifically for meeting virtually all patient and staff light requirements: indirect/direct lighting for examinations, direct lighting for reading, and a convenient night light - all in one luminaire!

Available in 36 and 48 inches, the Amadea is easily mounted to virtually any bed wall area and comes with a control and a control pad. The control is used by medical staff to easily adjust the light levels and for telephone/network access, including nurse call systems and building wiring. The control pad is used by the patient for simple control of the light functions and for nurse call. Amadea models are available with two energy efficient 39W or 54W T5HO fluorescent lamps for indirect/direct illumination, one 24W T5HO fluorescent lamp for direct illumination, and one 7W incandescent lamp for night lighting.
