Milwaukee's New 1/2-inch Double Insulated Dual-Torque Magnum® Hammer-Drill

Brookfield, WI (November 2001) - Milwaukee Electric Tool Corporation introduces a new Double Insulated 1/2-inch dual-torque Magnum® Hammer-Drill Kit, model 5371-21, that combines a compact, lightweight design with durable metal gear housings. This tool is ideal for general contractors, carpenters, electricians and plumbers, and others who drill small holes in concrete for anchors, or clearance holes for wire, tubing, or small pipe and conduit in block walls. It also easily drills through wood, steel and plastics.

The tool's 5.5 amp motor and dual-torque gearbox provide high-speed drilling (0-2500 rpm) with smaller bits, and plenty of torque for larger bits in the low-speed range setting (0-1000 rpm).

The Hammer-Drill also features a variable speed switch with reverse and a selector for "hammer with rotation" and "rotation only" operating modes. The variable speed switch allows holes and fasteners to be started easily.

The unique brush cartridge system stores replacement brushes and allows easy brush changes on the job. A 1/2-inch Heavy Duty Industrial keyed chuck offers users better gripping. The tool also features heavy duty ball and roller bearing construction, a metal gear housing and a large, Heavy Duty impact resistant carrying case.

The 5371-21 is backed by Milwaukee's limited warranty and Service Plus Program, providing one year of free maintenance when shipped to a Milwaukee Branch Office/Service Center.
