GTI Spindle Technology at IMTS Booth #N-7317

Company partners with InCheck Technologies to introduce new InSite(TM) system

Manchester, NH (August, 2010) - GTI Spindle Technology is partnering with InCheck Technologies to demonstrate InSite(TM) - a new online wireless predictive maintenance system - at the International Manufacturing Technology Show in Chicago, IL. GTI Spindle Technology will be at booth #N-7317. The conference will take place September 13-18 at McCormick Place.

InSite(TM) is a condition monitoring system that provides data collection, storage and processing facilities for condition and performance monitoring in a complete web-based solution. Unlike other maintenance systems, InSite(TM) is easy and inexpensive to install, requires a low capital investment, and can be monitored from anywhere. GTI Spindle offers this solution to its customers as part of the predictive maintenance service.

The system consists of sensors, InBox(TM) wireless data acquisition modules, and the InWeb(TM) software service component. Once installed, the InBox(TM) modules automatically connect to the InSite(TM) application server and start collecting and sending data from the sensors to the server. For this, the system uses standard network infrastructure such as local and wide area networks and the Internet. The server processes data and stores it in an integrated database, giving users access to historical data.

To monitor machines, users log in to the server and use InWeb(TM) to monitor and analyze the data, which can be done through a standard web browser. This software does not have to be purchased and is instead provided as a service. InWeb(TM) lets users perform vibration analysis, compare history and current data, and analyze trends for multiple parameters. The system also automatically notifies users of alarm events through e-mail or text messages.

Because monitoring data can be accessed from anywhere with an Internet connection, engineering tasks can be consolidated or outsourced. With InSite(TM), a plant's key physical assets can be monitored more efficiently and at lower cost, making a predictive maintenance program easier to implement.
