New SolKlip Grounding Connectors and Solar AWG Cable Round out Tyco Electronics PV Line
HARRISBURG, Pa. - July 10, 2007 - Tyco Electronics has bolstered its line of SOLARLOK photovoltaic (PV) interconnect products with SolKlip grounding connectors and solar AWG cable. The SOLARLOK line of photovoltaic interconnect products is a complete system for OEM producers of PV modules, cells and other support equipment and hardware. Electrical contractors and PV system installers and integrators also use SOLARLOK interconnect products in residential and commercial construction.
The SolKlip grounding connector provides quick and convenient grounding for solar panels and related products. SolKlip grounding connectors have four points of electrical contact and are for use with 12-10 AWG uninsulated copper wire. The product can be installed with pliers and a Phillips screwdriver. SolKilp grounding connectors can be re-used several times and meet "tooled extraction" requirements.
Solar AWG cable provides ultraviolet resistant performance in outdoor PV and solar panel installations. The cable is available in 500 or 1000 foot reels in either 10AWG, 12 AWG or 14AWG wire size. Installers and OEMs typically use solar AWG cable as a wire jumper between solar panels, solar roofing tiles and between panels and AC/DC inverters. Solar AWG cable is made from a UV resistant jacket material and high conductivity copper alloy and is UL approved for solar installations.
