QuadTech introduces Two High Currect Ground Bond Testers for Electrical Safety Testing

Ground Integrity Testing Of Electrical Products & Appliances

Maynard, MA - QuadTech, Inc., a leading electronic test equipment manufacturer in the electrical safety and passive component testing marketplace, announces the availability of two
new Ground Bond Testers. Designed for automated test or bench top use, the Guardian 1050 provides current to 45 Amps to meet the most stringent standards, and the economical Sentry 50 Plus provides current to 30 Amps for less demanding applications.

Some of the outstanding features which makes either unit ideal for verifying ground integrity of the product chassis and power line ground include:
o 4 Terminal Kelvin Connection with Auto Zeroing
o Programmable Hi/Lo Limits for Pass/Fail Testing
o Resistance Measurements from 0.1 to 510 milliohms
o Internal Storage of 99 Test Setups
o Remote Start/Stop & Go/No Go Outputs
o Programmable Test Times
o Large Graphic LCD Display

In addition to the higher test current of 45 Amps, the Guardian 1050 provides other essential features required in an automated test environment. An optional RS-232 interface and IEEE-488 interface are available for remote control or the data logging of test results to a computer. A printer interface is also available for printout of test results to an external printer.

Both models also offer a number of other features including, front panel lockout, programmable voltage level, compatibility with other testers, and built-in calibration. The front panel lockout, with password protection, inhibits the operator from alterations to the test setup. To meet the low voltage requirements of CSA 22.2 No. 0.4 Bonding and Grounding of
Electrical Equipment, and protection of the test device, the test voltage can be programmed for a maximum value ranging from 1 to 8 V. Both units can be used for stand alone ground bond
testing or connected to one of the Sentry Plus Hipot Testers or Guardian 1000 Hipot Testers for complete product testing. With the push of one button or one start command, when the Sentry
50 Plus or Guardian 1050 completes its test with a pass indication it will automatically start the Hipot Tester in sequence. The units also incorporate a built-in software routine using the front panel display to prompt the operator through calibration with no internal adjustments.

The price of the Sentry 50 Plus is $1,495 and the Guardian 1050 is $1,795, which includes a NIST traceable calibration certificate and the Kelvin test lead set for connecting to the device under test. A selection of other leads and adaptors are available for connecting to a variety of other products. Additionally, both units also carry the CE Mark for wider acceptance in the global marketplace
