NORTH HAVEN, CT: Ulbrich is pleased to announce a continued effort to help medical device manufacturers drive down material cost by focusing on gold plated tungsten wire as a lower cost alternative to platinum and platinum alloy materials. With costing multiples less than platinum and its alloys, gold plated tungsten solders easily, has a tensile strength of 400 KSI and is available in various plating thicknesses for applications ranging from improved cosmetic appearance to improved radiopacity for small diameter applications.
