Currently, Virtual Dedicated customers can select from one of three pre-configured server plans, or build their own Virtual Dedicated server. In building a custom Virtual Dedicated server, users specify the amount of disk space and bandwidth, select from a variety of control panel and FTP backup options, and more. And now, users can choose additional guaranteed RAM to give their web sites a performance edge. With 768MB guaranteed RAM/2GB Bursted, this new option improves overall web site performance by giving users a larger share of network resources, more RAM, faster disk access and additional CPU cycles.
Like their Virtual Dedicated counterparts, Go Daddy's Dedicated server customers may also select from one of three pre-configured server plans, or build their own Dedicated server. Now, users building Dedicated Servers can avail themselves of Linux's Red Hat(R) Enterprise 4 operating system -- a leading platform for open-source computing. Certified by top enterprise hardware and software vendors, the Enterprise 4 operating system couples the innovation of open-source technology with the stability of a true enterprise-class platform.
