Giving Travelers Reliable Access to Hot Water at Service Stations

Senese supplies service stations throughout Argentina with hot water dispensing units, and two years ago, the company was looking for a new solenoid valve supplier. After meeting with a Danfoss sales representative (Medición y Control), Senese chose the EV210B to control the hot water flow in its shower and hot water dispensers up and down the country.

Robust and reliable

The second largest country in South America, Argentina's road network extends over 230,000 km. Long distances between cities and towns mean road journeys often take time. To keep motorists and truck drivers' comfortable while on the road, service stations offer shower facilities so drivers can freshen up, and hot water dispensers so people can enjoy mate - a popular local herbal beverage. For Senese, using reliable components in its hot water units is key, because a breakdown means a time-consuming service call. And when Danfoss presented the robust EV210B solenoid valve, Senese was impressed with the valve's track record.

The EV210B valve is designed to control the flow of water - or oil or air - and can cope with temperatures ranging from -10° C to +90° C. The combination of a shaped diaphragm and special damping cone reduces noise and water hammer and increases the lifetime of other components in the system. And it makes using the hot water supply units easy: users simply insert a coin into the machine and an electronic controller opens the valve for a set period of time.

At present, there are over 150 EV210B valves controlling the hot water supply in dispensing machines at service stations all over Argentina. Breakdowns and repairs have been cut to a minimum so customers are able to enjoy their much-loved mate and take showers, without fear of the machine breaking down midway through.

But that's not the only Danfoss product dispensing products at service stations. Our fuel dispensing valves also control the quantity of fuel dispensed from gas pumps, so motorists always know they will get the amount of fuel they pay for.
