George Weston Bakeries Selects Apacheta RouteACE(TM) and VisualACE(TM) Software

Baked Goods Producer Looks to Apacheta for Flexible, Quality Revenue Management Solution for Route Delivery Personnel

SAN DIEGO, Feb. 20 / -- Apacheta Corporation, a leading provider of revenue management solutions for mobile businesses, announced today its selection by George Weston Bakeries (GWB), a well-known producer of high-quality consumer baked goods such as Entenmann's, Thomas' and Stroehmann. George Weston has chosen Apacheta to provide their companies with revenue management solutions based on Apacheta's dynamic RouteACE(TM) software.

Apacheta will supply GWB's delivery personnel, which consists of approximately 5,000 drivers with RouteACE. The initial pilot is scheduled to take start in the upcoming months using the base processes included in RouteACE and customized using Apacheta's VisualACE tool for business process design and deployment. Apacheta prides itself on its ability to rapidly implement the right fit solutions for mobile businesses.

The announcement comes after an extended selection process, during which GWB examined the speed, architectural flexibility, and pilot implementation processes of a variety of software vendors. The advanced technologies acquisition team at GWB ultimately decided that the Apacheta software offered the ideal combination of performance and flexibility, and moved quickly to pen an agreement with Apacheta after a year-long search.

"During the selection process, we specifically sought out software that could be easily customized in order to integrate seamlessly with our existing applications," said Andy Archer, Director of Advanced Technologies. "Apacheta's RouteACE and VisualACE software will allow users in different delivery regions to mold the software to their specific business needs-a clear strength that influenced our decision process. In addition, Apacheta's pilot time was considerably shorter than those of its competitors, allowing our technology team to implement the solution quickly in order to respond to the needs of our delivery team on the ground."

Apacheta's RouteACE application and VisualACE toolset provides a flexible infrastructure that can be easily adjusted to meet the specific needs of individual delivery route. Unlike typical route accounting software, which requires operations to conform to existing applications and their predetermined architectures, RouteACE and VisualACE are specifically designed to fit and adjust to the mobile processes of different organizations. The software's architecture allows administrators to customize individual tasks without altering the application itself.

"Apacheta is pleased to have been selected by George Weston Bakeries, and looks forward to completing the software's pilot program within the next few months," said John Major, CEO of Apacheta Corporation. "The flexible architecture of our RouteACE and VisualACE solutions will allow George Weston Bakeries to weave the software into its existing IT infrastructure, and will provide the Bakeries' delivery team with a world-class mobile revenue management system. We look forward to working with the George Weston Bakeries' IT team and to deploying the software as soon as possible."
