Versatile High Performance Gearbox Completes Renold Range
Renold Gears has extended its range of gearboxes with the welcome addition of the new e.JW Series wormgear unit. The latest addition to the Renold range is a high quality, low powered unit providing a versatile and economical drive solution to a wide range of applications including printing and textiles, materials handling, conveyor drives, food process machinery and a host of general industrial uses.
Available in ten sizes with power capacities of up to 4kW and gear ratios from 5:1 to 100:1, the e.JW Series is suitable for use with both standard IEC and NEMA motors, including the high efficiency EFF1 motor range. Double reduction units can be used
to provide the option of a 4000:1 ratio. The e.JW's versatility is further assured by the incorporation of mounting surfaces on all sides of the gear case and the option of an output mounting flange on either side of the unit.
With speed reducer, motor ready and motorised units available for complete design flexibility, the e.JW uses a hollowed output shaft for direct shaft mounting with the option of plug-in single or double extension output shafts. For unit sizes 30 to 60 the e. JW also incorporates a lightweight one-piece aluminium gear case (fine grain cast iron for unit sizes 75 and 86).
