New Filter features ABS plastic frame for added durability and convenient disposal.

Barnebey Sutcliffe's indoor air quality (IAQ) division is coming on stronger - with the introduction of a sturdy new ABS plastic frame on its Granular Dacor Carbon (GDC) Cartridge filter for diverse air applications.

The new, ABS plastic frame adds durability to the GDC cartridge filter, ensuring that it remains intact during shipping and handling. The new frame also renders the filter suitable for either incineration or landfill disposal.

The new construction of the GDC cartridge enhances a superior activated carbon filter already well regarded for its high capacity and long service life. The filter uses premium granulated coconut shell carbon in a unique laminated honeycomb filter design.

This design combines with abundant amounts of granular carbon to provide a high surface area - over 80 million square feet per filter -- and low pressure drop. The low pressure drop makes the GDC cartridge ideal for use in retrofitting existing applications.

The innovative GDC cartridge can be manufactured with specialty carbons for treating light, molecular-weight contaminants. Specialty carbons are available for the removal of hydrogen sulfide, ammonia and formaldehyde, and many other contaminants.

The GDC Cartridge filter is available in two common sizes: 12 in. x 24 in. x 12 in. nominal and 24 in. x 24 in. x 12 in. nominal. These two sizes provide versatility in fitting virtually any new or existing system in clean rooms, museum, hospitals - and other applications where low-cost, quick change-out and easy disposal of the spent filter is sought.
