Shimadzu Scientific Instruments has introduced the AOC-5000
High Throughput Gas Chromatography Injection System as part of an expanded OEM agreement with CTC Analytics AG, Zwingen, Switzerland. The AOC-5000 combines Static Headspace, Liquid Injection, and Solid Phase Micro Extraction modes in one instrument. This unique capability allows quick switching from one application to another on the same GC system, enhancing the speed, flexibility, capacity, and precision of the instrument. Top-mounted on GCs to save bench space, the system is designed with a syringe-only concept for transparent sample operation with no sample loops, transfer lines, or switching valves.
Shimadzu's AOC-5000 is ideally suited for applications in environmental, food and beverage, forensics, petrochemicals, and Pharmaceuticals. The easy-to-use Cycle Composer provides methods, and control is through Shimadzu's GCsolution and GCMSsolution software. This enables the operator to setup, edit, and run AOC-5000 methods. No special programming skills are needed. A macro language feature expands the application range for advanced flexibility.
