Gasket Tape protects fragile equipment.

Press Release Summary:

Made from 100% multidirectionally expanded PTFE, GORE-TEX Series 600 gasket tape seals large-diameter fragile and glass-lined equipment. It is resistant to all chemicals, tolerates temperatures from -450 to +600°F, and is available in 5 widths and thicknesses of 1/4 and 3/8 in. Tape maintains original width when compressed, ensuring high gasket stress retention, dimensional stability, and long-lasting seal that requires only low stress to seal.

Introducing GORE-TEX(R) Series 600 Gasket Tape

Elkton, Md., December 6, 2001 - W. L. Gore & Associates, Inc. announces the introduction of GORE-TEX Series 600 gasket tape for sealing large-diameter fragile and glass-lined equipment. Made from 100% multidirectionally expanded PTFE, and formerly known as GORE-TEX BG gasket tape, this tape is a better alternative than PTFE envelope gaskets. It is easier to install, and it will not degrade due to chemical attack, which helps achieve both significant initial savings and long-term process productivity gains. It can be formed in place on the sealing surface quickly and easily without totally dismantling large equipment.

GORE-TEX Series 600 gasket tape is resistant to virtually all chemicals and tolerates temperatures from -450°F to +600°F (-268°C to +315°C). Available in five widths and thicknesses of 1/4" and 3/8" (6.4 mm and 9.5 mm), this tape maintains its original width as well as a thick profile when compressed, ensuring high gasket stress retention, dimensional stability, and a tight, long-lasting seal that requires only low stress to seal. With its thick compressed profile, high conformability, and outstanding resistance to creep relaxation, GORE-TEX Series 600 gasket tape seals major surface imperfections and irregularities - even standing gaps-often without shimming.
