Subcompact Gas Spring Line Introduces Two New Models, Additional Features and Upgrades



Brecksville, OH- Hyson Products adds two new models to its T2 SC Series of subcompact gas springs ands redesigns the current line to increase structural integrity and make field service easier. Hyson Products is a division of Associated Spring, a business unit of Barnes Group Inc. (NYSE:B)

The two new models include the T2SC-740 with a 32 mm/1.26 in. diameter and stroke lengths from 6 mm to 50 mm, and the T2SC-2900 with a 45 mm/1.77 in. diameter and stroke lengths from 10 mm to 50 mm. The T2SC-2900 features a side port plate for increased mounting options.

The design upgrades affect models 4700 through 18300. For all four models the inner lock rings have been made smaller in diameter. The springs are interchangeable with earlier models and repair kits remain the same. Models 4700 and 7500 also feature smaller outer lock ring grooves for flange mounting, and require new flanges. The mounting dimensions remain identical to previous installations. The new T2SC gas springs are FED approved.
