Industrial Scientific Releases New Version Of AirAware(TM) Gas Monitoring System


Pittsburgh, PA - Industrial Scientific Corporation announces the release of the AirAware Gas Monitoring System in a new low profile enclosure. The AirAware, a simple wall-mounted detector capable of monitoring one of the following six gases: carbon monoxide (CO), chlorine (CI2), hydrogen sulfide (H2S), nitrogen dioxide (NO2), oxygen (0), or sulfur dioxide (SO2), is designed for indoor use in non-classified areas where explosion-proof equipment is not required. The new enclosure, made of durable ABS plastic, provides protection from water and radio frequency interference (RFI) in light industrial environments. An optional snap-on vanity plate is available for commercial applications such as hotels or office buildings.

The AirAware gas detectors offer low-cost, reliable, fixed-point detection with on-board relay activation and/or 4-20 mA output to a central controller. The unit includes an LED display read-
out, two adjustable alarm levels with SPDT relay contacts. Additional features include one-button calibration and an optional 85dB audible alarm. Every AirAware is equipped with
electrochemical sensing technology, dual alarm LED's, digital display, simple, push-button operation, and a one-year warranty.
