Omron's New Low Cost D6F Gas Flow Sensor Measures Both Air Flow And Direction



SCHAUMBURG, IL (June 25, 2003)-Omron's experience in MEMS technology has enabled it to develop the D6F gas flow sensor, which features a heater between two thermopiles that lets the D6F detect both gas flow velocity and direction. The silicon thermal sensor consistently outperforms other sensor types and detects velocities as low as 0.005 m/s.

The sensor is available in a variety of package styles for use in natural or LP gas flow measurement, HVAC system air flows, medical gas applications, and hydrogen.
