Thomas & Betts Increases Choices of Union? Dual Voltage Non-Metallic Boxes
MEMPHIS, Tennessee, September 4, 2002 ? Thomas & Betts has added two new models to the Union? line of dual voltage non-metallic boxes for power and voice/data cabling. The innovative design reinforces the company?s offering of labor saving products for residential power and low-voltage installations.
The new two gang boxes support conventional switch/outlet power devices and provide a low voltage bracket with a convenient low-voltage cable support that retains the cable during and after installation. The SB-21-DV features a side-mounting bracket that makes it suitable for mounting to the face of a wood or steel stud and has 20.5 cubic inches of wiring capacity. The E-18-4-DV is an old-work version of the dual voltage box and is perfect for retrofit work. It features two old-work swing brackets, as well as old-work ears and has 18 cubic inches of capacity. Both boxes are constructed of durable PVC and UL listed.
