Mitutoyo CP1057® 3-D Flexible Gage Combines Manual 'Gage-Like' Operation with CMM Capabilities
(Aurora, IL) The new CP1057® 3-D Flexible Gage from Mitutoyo America Corporation operates much like a gage on a surface plate - combining a familiar, easy, manual approach to operation with advanced CMM digitizing and data capture capabilities.
Designed for applications such as measurement and scribing of sheet material workpieces, as well as measurement of large molded resin parts like automobile dashboards and similar components, the Mitutoyo CP1057 3-D gage uses a manually controlled drive to position the instrument on the same surface plate to which the workpiece is fixtured.
The large measuring range (1000mm X 500mm X 750mm) of the CP1057 can even be increased by utilizing an optional "data joint" function which enables movement of the instrument during data collection. Standard air bearings on all axes ensure smooth operation. Thermally-stable construction plus optional, real-time temperature compensation enable the CP1057 to maintain accuracy at temperatures from 15°C to 30°C. A variety of probes for multi-purpose measurement are supported.
