Gage Amplifier indicates go/no-go measurement.

Press Release Summary:

Offering programmable gaging routines, Gage Chek features 6 in. LCD display panel with digital read-out or analog formats in dial, vertical, or horizontal bars. Users can view in real-time gage values such as pass/fail data for part dimensions or SPC charts and histograms. Providing up to 8 probe inputs and 2 outside relay outputs, Gage Chek makes helpful audio cues, prompting users of in-process, out-of-tolerance/error situations.

Original Press Release:

New Multi-Function Gage Amplifier Is 'Smart', Versatile and Easy To Use

(January 10, 2004, Bedford, NH) - Metronics Inc. has introduced "Gage Chek", a unique, advanced, yet easy-to-use gage amplifier. According to Metronics President Bob Green, "The Gage Chek provides a broad range of affordable gaging solutions for many manufacturing applications. It combines the simplicity of go/no-go hard gaging, with the power and flexibility of a microprocessor."

The Gage Chek is easy to view and operate, with simple programmable gaging routines and flexible display options. The 6" (150mm) LCD display panel features easy-to-read digital read-out (DRO) or analog formats in either dial, vertical or horizontal bars, enhanced with color cues for indicating go/no-go measurement.

Users can view in real-time gage values such as pass/fail data for critical part dimensions or Statistical Process Control (SPC) Charts and histograms. The Gage Chek also makes helpful audio cues, quickly prompting users of in-process, out-of-tolerance / error situations.

Gage Chek provides up to 8 probe inputs and 2 outside relay outputs, ideal for monitoring out-of-tolerance conditions. Compatible inputs include HEIDENHAIN Length Gages, Air Gages, LVDT's, HBT's and more.

Input channels can be used to obtain numerous measurements such as maximum, minimum, TIR and many others for on-the-spot part analysis. There are over 40 math and trigonometric functions and operands available. Up to 16 separate values can be output from these formulas, based on single input channels or combinations and comparisons of multiple channels.

In addition, an integrated SPC Database allows storage and retrieval of measurement data. Users can check the manufacturing process at each gage and then share information locally or globally.

The rugged, shop-floor-friendly Gage Chek also provides connectivity to PC's and other peripherals, allowing data download for printouts, reports and other documentation.

Founded in 1983, Metronics develops metrology software and digital readouts for measuring and inspecting 2D and 3D components. Metronics' manufacturing center and headquarters are located in Bedford, New Hampshire, U.S.A. For more information about Gage Chek or Metronics, contact Bill Chambers at Metronics, P.O.
