Supplied with self-closing voltage testing holes to permit voltage tests, fuse holders have lid lock that can be lead-sealed.

Original Press Release:

Greater Flexibility in the North American Market Thanks to the J-Class Fuse Holder for up to 400 Amperes

By extending its existing RiLine Class series, Rittal is now offering even greater flexibility in mechanical and plant engineering for the North American market. For the first time, the company is offering J-Class fuse-holders for the 100 to 400 A output range. The device's design is based on the tried and tested RiLine NH iso-lator platform.

Herborn/Nuremberg, 25 November 2008 - Up to now, mechanical and plant engineers had been able to obtain holders for cylindrical fuses in the following categories: Class CC to 30 A, and Class J to 30 or 60 A. Now, Rittal is decisively extending the range by adding three new versions for J-Class applications in the 100, 200, and 400 A output ranges. This enables machine and plant manufacturers to comply with the UL requirements in the US and Canadian target markets.

As far as design and technology are concerned, the new RiLine Class Fuseholders are of the very same pedigree as Rittal's RiLine NH series. The design remains consistent, even for IEC and UL applications. The new fuseholders already show their flexibility during assembly to the busbar system. Cables can easily be connected both at the top and at the bottom thanks to the use of rotating mounting hooks. The engineer now only needs to use one single device when faced with a variety of different requirements. This cuts storage costs.

The tried-and-tested screw terminal system allows extremely reliable and low-loss contact to the RiLine Class Fuseholder with its RiLine60 busbar system. The new systems can be fully integrated into the RiLine60 system with base tray. Isolator lids and internal cover plates ensure optimum contact hazard protection for persons.

Self-closing voltage testing holes are provided to permit voltage tests. In addition, the fuseholders have a lid lock that can be lead-sealed.

Rittal offers all three sizes of device as assembly variations for direct mounting on 60 mm RiLine60 busbar systems or to mounting plates.

The Rittal RiLine60 Class Fuseholder has cURus approval for the North American market.
