Next Generation Optima® Reduces Installation Time

ST. LOUIS-The Optima® OPM-NG modular fuseholder incorporates IP-20 finger-safe fusible features that meet global standards for minimizing contact with current-carrying parts. The integral DIN rail spring allows for easy installation of the unit (no tools required). When the OPM-NG is used in motor starter applications, wiring time in group installations is reduced up to
80 percent.

The compact 45 mm design matches the OPM-NG with 32A IEC motor circuits. The low profile handle is part of an integral fuse carrier that acts as a built-in fuse puller, eliminating the need for an extra tool to remove the fuses. In addition, the carriage can't be removed from the holder, preventing loss of components.

An auxiliary contact block provides status indication of the fuse carriage position and could be used to open the control circuit when a fuse is removed from the fuseholder. A single fuseclip design reduces heat dissipation, resulting in a cooler running installation.

The unit also features a comb-style busbar for faster line side wiring. The holder is padlockable, dual wire rated and has marking tabs.

The OPM-NG was designed with the global OEM in mind. It accepts 10 x 38 or class CC fuses. Agency approvals include UL listed, CSA certified, IEC 60947-3 AC20B, as well as compliance to the CE directive for European Union low voltage (50-1,000 VAC, 75-1,500 VDC).
