Original Press Release:

The Illuminator

The MIDAC Illuminator is an extremely compact FTIR module that integrates with a variety of sample interfaces in virtually any configuration. Inside each Illuminator is an IR source and interferometer which produce a collimated beam. The module can be coupled with any sampling accessory equipped with its own IR detector, creating a compact, dedicated system such as a microscopy or fiber optic probe system. Alternatively, the Illuminator paired with an external MIDAC detector module and any sample interface can be combined to create an unlimited number of custom systems.

The Illuminator can be powered by a 12 volt battery as an alternative to standard AC power, adding to it's versatility for use in remote or field applications. Grams/32-AI software combines complete data collection, post processing, and report generation capabilities. MIDAC's AutoQuant(TM) software package adds powerful quantitative analysis capability and is customizable for continuous monitoring applications."
