Electroid's SSB-23 and 34 Brakes Offer Fast Response, IP65 Protection
SPRINGFIELD, NJ - ELECTROID COMPANY, of Springfield, New Jersey, now offers its SSB Series of front end brakes, specifically designed for braking applications on Stepper and Servo Motors.
Available for NEMA 23 and 34 sizes and designed specifically to simply "plug in" to a Stepper or Servo Motor, the SSB incorporates a zero backlash permanent magnet brake and a torsionally rigid coupling to accept misalignment. Also available in NEMA 42 size, Electroid's SSB Brakes offer IP65 splashproof and dustproof protection. The permanent magnet brake provides extremely fast response times and very low inertia. Dual bearings allow greater overhung loads created by drive belt pulleys, chain sprockets and gearheads.
Suitable for a wide variety of industrial applications, such as robotics, linear and rotary actuators, multi-axis positioning tables, material handling, CNC tools and systems, etc., Electroid's SSB Series is available in six models, all featuring:
