East Dundee, Ill. - Frigel, a global manufacturer of industrial process cooling and temperature control equipment, announces that its new Ecodry EDK will make its global debut at NPE 2009. Developed after extensive research on maximizing performance, the EDK significantly improves the effects of heat rejection through a redesign of the air flow and an increased efficiency of the system's adiabatic chamber.

Replacing Frigel's EDG model, the EDK features an enhanced, V-shaped adiabatic chamber that allows for greater, unrestricted airflow into the Ecodry unit. The result is greater overall cooling capacity, better humidification of the air in the adiabatic chamber and reduced air pressure within the cooling chamber. In addition, it also allows the EDK to operate with improved efficiency in any kind of environmental conditions.

"At Frigel, we are committed to providing our customers with the latest in intelligent cooling systems that also have a positive environmental impact," said Steve Petrakis, president of Frigel North America. "Many companies are now recognizing the value of sustainable business practices and Frigel is poised to help them achieve success in this area with our new EDK."

An intelligent alternative to traditional cooling towers, the EDK can help companies achieve sustainable business practices that positively impact the environment, all while saving thousands of dollars on energy, water and maintenance costs every year. Show attendees can learn more about Intelligent Process Cooling and how it works during the Business of Plastics conference at NPE. Petrakis will be presenting "Efficient process cooling: Saving money, the environment and headaches for processors" on Wednesday, June 24, as part of the Business Practices track.

"We are excited about the changes intelligent process cooling and the Ecodry system can bring to the plastics industry," said Petrakis. "Sustainable, cost saving, technologies like this are the cornerstones to the future of our industry and we are happy to offer it to customers so they can start enjoying the benefits of the future, today."

Frigel has been a worldwide market leader in intelligent process cooling since the 1960s. Foremost among Frigel's products is Ecodry, a unique, closed-loop intelligent cooling system that's been proven at more than 5,500 manufacturing installations worldwide. The Ecodry system dramatically reduces water usage and keeps cooling water clean, providing companies an environmentally-friendly cooling solution. Coupled with the break through, cycle time improving Microgel, the result is substantial savings on water, chemicals, energy and maintenance. The Ecodry system gives users the power to outperform.
