Original Press Release:

Friction Feeder with Exceptional Speed and Accuracy

Multifeeder Technology has designed an addition to their extensive line of friction feeders that can feed products that are as small as 1.0 X 1.0" (25 X 25 mm). The friction feeder "AccuTipping," patent pending, software provides a capability of placing items into or onto other items at the exceptional feed rate of up to 70,000 per hour with unmatched placement accuracy for a dual stage configuration.

These friction feeders can be easily added to existing production lines and equipment to replace the direct labor currently being used that results in a significant return on investment. The standard 30" tall vertical infeed magazine provides easy loading of products, and the optional 6' long horizontal magazine assures an infeed capacity that meets the line speeds of the most demanding applications.

Products that can be fed on the MFT Friction Feeders can be up to one inch (25 mm) thick. CD/DVDs, pamphlets, blister cards, phone cards, catalogs, plastic sheets, magnets, pharmaceutical inserts, bags, cartons and corrugated items can be fed.

Five discharge lengths are standard and they provide the flexibility for placement of items into difficult to feed locations. Interface with cartoners, baggers, clam shell, flow wrappers and case packers are easily done. Ink jet, thermal transfer, labelers and laser coding can be integrated to the friction feeder to provide "on site" identification that can substantially reduce inventory of materials.
